Rupert Philbrick

Rupert is a a combined artist, specialising in music, film and performance.

Their practice is rooted in the use of creative and participatory methods, championing co-operative enquiry and production between professional and non-professional artists.

Rupert’s work often revolves around an exploration of place, delivering projects that aim to uncover a better understanding of who we are, and where we come from.

Working regularly as project manager and lead facilitator for Music at the Heart of Teesdale and Turrets Youth Theatre. Within these organisations, Rupert help’s support grant writing and other administrative responsibilities.

When working for others, Rupert takes on roles that include sound design & composition; art handling, exhibition installation & curation; stage & technical design / management in theatre; and the design & construction of sets, props and other 3D objects.
