Mark Boden

Mark Boden has been playing the guitar for over 35 years, and teaching it for over 30 years  in schools, privately and holding masterclasses. Having enjoyed a career playing in rock bands in the North East and wider region for over fifteen years he felt that it was time for a change.

Flamenco interested him for some years so he started to study it in a Flamenco school in Seville, Spain. He now performs his interpretations of Flamenco pieces, and compose Flamenco music with modern elements in it fusing Latin American, Jazz, Indian, Classical, Cuban, Blues and Rock.

Mark performs in the North East and North Yorkshire region in his group, Mark Boden's Flamenco con Fusion and has performed several times on BBC Radio Tees. In his shows he performs either as a soloist or is accompanied by Phil Philo (guitar), James McCann (percussion/cajon) and Jamie Donnelly (bass).
