Tactical Pagan

Tactical Pagan is the latest incarnation of artist Andy Swan in a project that marks a bold new chapter in a decades-spanning career. Emerging from the industrial underground of the early 1980s, Swan’s roots lie in the raw influence of Throbbing Gristle, Whitehouse, and Cabaret Voltaire. He cut his teeth working with Justin Broadrick in Final, before shifting into dance music in the early ’90s, later founding IROHA and contributing to KHOST.

With TACTICAL PAGAN, Swan returns to the grit of post-industrial sound, fusing trip-hop rhythms, downtempo textures, and discordant guitar lines into a hypnotic, VHS-tinted experience. Eroded beats, ghostly vocal fragments, and immersive synths drift through a narcotic haze - echoes of the past reshaped into something unsettlingly present.
